DALI-2 and D4i Product Certifications

Four new occupancy and daylight sensors are now listed by the DALI Alliance, including two that also carry D4i certification.
COLUMBIA, MD, October 22, 2026: LiteTrace Brands, a USA company headquartered in Maryland, today announced its first DALI-2 certified products. Four occupancy and daylight sensors across two families are now listed in the DALI Alliance product database. Two of these models also hold D4i certification for luminaire-mounted control devices. The sensors will be part of the new LiteScape architectural lighting controls system.
The certifications are a significant milestone for LiteTrace Brands. They mark the company’s entry into DALI, the leading open standard for digital lighting control worldwide. The IFS05RD2 sensor will debut at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair, Autumn Edition, October 27-30, 2026.
Why DALI matters
DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is the international standard for digital lighting control, defined in IEC 62386 and managed by the DALI Alliance. DALI-2 adds a formal certification program. Test results are independently verified, so certified drivers, sensors and controls from different manufacturers work together on the same system. Only products listed in the DALI Alliance database may carry the DALI-2 mark.
D4i extends DALI-2 to the luminaire itself. It standardizes sensors and communication devices mounted on the luminaire, powered by the luminaire’s D4i driver. D4i drivers also report energy use, operating hours and fault data, giving building owners luminaire-level insight.
Overseas. DALI is the established lighting control interface across Europe and is widely specified for commercial and architectural projects in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. A broad ecosystem of certified DALI-2 products is available from manufacturers worldwide. For many specifiers in these regions, DALI-2 certification is a requirement to be considered. These certifications open those markets to LiteTrace Brands.
In the USA. The North American market has relied largely on 0-10V dimming and proprietary networked controls. DALI brings standardized dimming performance across manufacturers, built-in on/off control without separate relays, and driver-level data for energy reporting and maintenance. USA luminaire manufacturers and specifiers are giving DALI and D4i growing attention as they look for open, multivendor solutions.

The two sensor families serve different project needs. Both are bus-powered, so no separate power supply is needed.
